Position Purpose

This position reports to the Maintenance Mechanic 4 (working title: Electrician and HVAC Supervisor) and is responsible for performing skilled mechanical, HVAC/controls, and trades work in the areas of inspection, repair, installation, and maintenance of physical facilities by providing journey level services in the areas of work trades such as HVAC, direct digital control (DDC) systems, and mechanical work and operate, repair, and maintain HVAC related equipment. Work is performed at the Olympia and Tacoma campuses, as well as the President’s residence and the historical Lord Mansion in Olympia’s Capitol neighborhood. This position may also work independently and collaboratively on projects requiring skill in other trades such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and machinist work.

This is a full-time, overtime-eligible position on the Olympia and Tacoma campuses of The Evergreen State College.

Salary and Benefits: $4,443 – $5,415 per month of full-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick and vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life, and disability insurance package; and a tuition waiver program.
